A high school sophomore from Cattaraugus County sustained a serious brain injury when he was struck by the elderly driver of a pickup truck while he mowed the lawn at his parent’s home.   During a jury trial in NYS Supreme Court, Francis Letro proved that the driver of the truck suffered from an eye condition that essentially made him legally blind.  The injured boy and his family received a $2.6 million settlement.
